In 2015/2016, we were fortunate to be part of something truly special with California Chrome. Managing his career and witnessing his success on the national stage was unforgettable. Even more meaningful was sharing that journey with our clients, bringing them along for the ride as part of the team. It wasn’t just racing; it was an experience that created lasting memories and deep connections.
Soon after, we were involved with Cathryn Sophia, who went on to win the Kentucky Oaks. Once again, the excitement and shared experience sparked something bigger. More people began reaching out, asking how they could be part of moments like these. Friends told friends. Interest grew.
That’s when the vision became clear. We wanted to create a way for people to step directly into the highest level of the sport. Our selection process is never compromised. As we all know, this is a very tough game, so we aim to increase our odds at every turn.
Taylor Made has raised and/or sold more than 133 Grade 1 winners through the years, including 10 in 2021 alone. The same teams that have been responsible for this success are leveraged to sort through horses on the track, on the farm, and at the sales, and select only the ones be believe make the cut. There is an art and a science to this process, so we are constantly learning and adjusting to the market and sport.
