Horologist followed up her impressive G3 win in the Molly Pitcher with a solid 3rd place finish in the $500,000 G1 La Troienne at Churchill Downs on KY Oaks Day. Derby-winning rider John Velazquez gave her a great ride. Johnny thought she didn’t love the track as she slipped a little on the backside, which caused her to lose some positioning. She battled hard down the lane to secure third place. She finished ahead of G1 winners Vexatious and She’s a Julie. She came out of the race well, and we will see how she trains before deciding on her next start.

As a lifelong horseplayer and passion for racing, I came to a point in my life where I wanted stake in a partnership that could offer ownership at the highest level of Thoroughbred racing. Medallion Racing fit my risk tolerance with a solid business plan that detailed their mission, full transparency, weekly communication of all horses involved, and delivered on exactly what their goal was to their investors... Graded stakes winners and thrills I never imagined I would experience in my lifetime.
Since becoming an investor in Medallion Racing I have been overwhelmed with the excitement of being part of Thoroughbred racing at the highest level. What I have appreciated even more is how well the communication is between myself, the investor, and the managers of Medallion and also all the knowledge I have gained in the racing industry.
My family’s love for the Thoroughbred dates back to the 30s when my grandfather was a top owner/breeder/trainer. Medallion allows me to continue this important family tradition while also participating as an owner at the highest levels of the sport. I fully expect Medallion to evolve into one of the top performing racing partnerships in the world. I want to be a part of this.
I became an investor in Medallion Racing in 2015, nothing matches the joy and excitement I receive from being part of top class racehorses such as CATHRYN SOPHIA and CALIFORNIA CHROME.
