Racing is moving back to full swing, and we are excited to have two fillies running this weekend in the largest stakes for fillies and mares in the country.
Beau Recall runs in the G1 Just a Game at Belmont Park on Saturday. This is an incredibly tough race with 2 BC champions, and multiple G1 winner Got Stormy. Beau Recall will be making her second start of the year. Her first start came in the G3 Mint Julep, when she had little chance to make an impression, after being stuck in traffic for the length of the stretch. She bounced out of that race in great shape, and we are looking for a strong performance this weekend.
Motion Emotion runs in the G2 Fleur de Lis at Churchill Downs on Saturday. The Fleur de Lis is a BC “Win and You’re In” race. It is a very top heavy field, that includes two of the best fillies in training in Midnight Bisou and Serengeti Empress. The race could be for 3rd between the other 5 horses. Motion Emotion has been training well, and the ability to run her at Churchill where she is based was the deciding factor in keeping her here. The top two will be very difficult to beat, but she should get a good stalking trip from her outside post.
