Always inthe Munny worked a quick half mile on the grass on Sunday at Saratoga. She covered the 4F in company in 49.84, which was the 6th fastest of 53 workers at the distance. We wanted to give her a work on the grass to see if she could handle the surface before deciding on her next start. While she has only run on dirt to this point in her career, she is by Munnings out of a Danehill mare, so she should handle turf from a pedigree perspective.
We are planning on running Always inthe Munny in the $100,000 Coronation Cup on Friday, July 31st at Saratoga. This is a 5.5F race on the grass for 3 year old fillies. We have Kendrick Carmouche set to ride. Hopefully Always inthe Munny can kick off a big weekend with Motion Emotion running a day later in the G1 Personal Ensign at Saratoga!
